The service attitude was decent, but the smoke smell was everywhere and even the non‑smoking room was filled with chaotic smoking.

The spot is decent and the breakfast was nice, plus the staff were friendly. The rooms feel a bit dated and mine had a slight odor—probably a ventilation or furniture issue, not what you’d expect at a Sheraton.

I enjoyed my stay at the Sheraton Shantou in June 2026; the location is spot‑on, tucked in a quiet area that guarantees a good night’s sleep while still being close to a popular mall, a famed food street, and many local eateries. The breakfast buffet was a real treat, featuring an impressive mix of international dishes and authentic Shantou specialties, letting us sample a wide range of local cuisine right inside the hotel. The entire staff were warm and welcoming, and housekeeping kept the room immaculate, spotless, and comfortable every day.
