The vibe and atmosphere were great, and I made such good friends.

One helpful staff member arranged a cab for us and the hostel is close to the beach. The upper bunk was dusty, loud music kept us up at night – not good if you need to wake early. The food was awful, poorly cooked, and when I asked the staff for help they said they couldn’t do anything and even suggested I cancel my booking, which was disappointing. As female travellers we felt unsafe at night and the staff’s unwillingness to assist was let‑down.

The location was excellent and the facilities were solid. We had to leave our slippers outside and walk all over the property, including the rooftop, restaurant and dorms.

The spot was great, especially the social vibe in the restaurant and common area. The rule about keeping slippers outside the property was annoying.
