“Ok,das war es aber auch.”
The view is nice, the air‑conditioner works well, and you get to the beach via about 130 flights of stairs; there’s a private parking spot, but getting to it involves a hair‑raising descent; the beaches below are very beautiful, a real bathing paradise; René is very friendly and helpful, always reachable; the apartment lacks a microwave and a stove, the Wi‑Fi is bad—especially in the kitchen and almost non‑existent from the bathroom; the so‑called fourth bed is a sham, full of stains, with a power socket hanging from the wall behind it; it’s fine for three people but a nightmare for four, even though the apartment is advertised for four adults; the toilet is wobbly because you can only sit on it from the side, and that puzzle will always baffle me.
The apartment’s location is great, and you can reach the beach quickly even though the return trip involves a steep climb; the terrace view looks out over the sea and Brač Island, and aside from the floor, wall, bedding, and other issues I mention later, the apartment is clean and tidy; with a little more investment and better attention to small details, the accommodation could be much better. We couldn’t set up the extra bed for the fourth person so the staff replaced it with a fold‑out bed from the neighboring unit that we entered through a regular bedroom door; I don’t know how guests in the other unit reacted to that bed, but the mattress was very bad and the pillow was catastrophically uncomfortable; unlike most other accommodations where each guest gets a small and a large towel, we each received one medium towel that was already heavily worn or very old; the fridge was off when we arrived, so it took almost a whole day to cool down after we turned it on, and because the space wasn’t air‑conditioned before our arrival there was a big risk of spoiling the food we brought; the air‑conditioner in the bedroom is likely the cause of the weird smell in the apartment, given how much dust and mold it has; in the kitchen/living area there’s a floor fan that is also very dirty and unstable; glasses weren’t rinsed properly, so we washed every dish out of caution; the paper towel holder was in the kitchen but the paper towel wasn’t there; on the terrace with the beautiful sea view we found 7–8 clotheslines on the wall, but there was no rack or string for hanging laundry, so we improvised by hanging towels on the fence and other clothes on chairs; the building has two small apartments separated only by a regular bedroom door, and you literally hear everything the neighbors say; fortunately the guests in the neighboring apartment were polite and quiet the next day.
“Класне місце”
It’s a very nice place, you have to walk a few minutes down to the beach, the beach is small but very pretty and somewhat family‑friendly; regarding the apartments, René is always on the line, and everything you need is in the unit; we arrived in the heat, +37, the AC ran almost all day, but the kitchen was hot—more of a fact than a complaint; we were short on a microwave; everything else was great.
