The establishment matched the description: a large, well-equipped room, friendly and welcoming hosts—Jay always smiling and helpful. The balcony was perfect for evening moments, the breakfast was hearty, fresh, and served on a terrace facing the garden with other guests, and the location was excellent for exploring the region. The bedding comfort could be slightly improved, and the parking was a bit limited.

The welcome Jay gave us was simply perfect, and that’s the most important part when traveling :) We felt right at home, received great tips on nearby activities, a friendly smile, and a warm attitude. The breakfast and his garden were also lovely. We spent a wonderful week! The accommodation is centrally located, making it easy to reach the north/center and the southeast within 30 min to 1 h by car, which is very handy. Nothing negative – the spot is quiet, though there are occasional noisy dogs, as on the whole island of Mauritius.

We took a while to locate the property, but that was our fault. Once we arrived, Jay turned out to be the most amazing host; he was friendly and a pleasure to chat with. The room was very well appointed and comfortable. The breakfast was beautifully tasty and plentiful. We would recommend Shanti Nivas to anyone seeking accommodation in the area without hesitation. Highly rated! There is absolutely nothing to fault. We were made most welcome and would definitely return if we ever come back to the region.
