The staff were incredibly helpful, it was quiet after 9 pm, close to the Tatra Mountains and the bus stop, kid‑friendly with a playground, and the floor had a small kettle and a microwave. The only downside was that the outdoor smoking area a few metres below our balcony let smoke drift onto the balcony.

The on‑site food is reasonably priced; after a full day in the mountains you don’t need to hunt for meals in town because the pension offers good options.

The room was very clean when we arrived, the kitchen had all the necessary tools, the train between Poprad and Strbske Pleso had a station very close to the house which made travel easier, and the host was reachable quickly and friendly. An extra kitchen light would have helped, as washing dishes in the evenings was difficult.
