All the dishes were carefully prepared and delicious, and the portion sizes were satisfying. The hot spring water was warmer than usual, which was great. I would have liked an open-air bath, though.

As a hot‑spring inn, everything seemed thoughtfully arranged, with seasonal Japanese décor everywhere and equipment to enhance comfort both inside and outside the rooms, such as a high‑end massage chair in the rooms. There are only four rooms, but two private baths, so I had to wait a bit, yet I could enjoy the hot spring whenever I wanted. The meals were labor‑intensive and visually appealing. Within the limited space and time, the hospitality felt maximized. I have no complaints. If anything, walking about 15 minutes to the stone‑stair street is a steep climb, so it might be sweaty in summer. We had no negative experiences like those mentioned in past reviews.

The bath was great, but there were only two cups in the bathroom, so when I asked for a third for us three, the staff said, “Isn’t there a paper cup next to it?” I was shocked. There was none, and after searching I finally found one in the tea set tray in the room. Such rude service is unacceptable! The stairs had many uneven steps, the lighting was dim, making it hard to see, and I nearly fell or tripped several times—especially dangerous for older guests (in the bedroom and when going up the stairs).

The entire facility was spotlessly clean, which made my stay very pleasant, and the food was exceptionally tasty. Because I traveled by public transport, the hotel was a little far from the city center.

The inn had a charming, seasonal atmosphere. With a limited number of guests, the staff were very helpful. Meal times were fixed, but they went out of their way to accommodate, which I appreciated. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious, and the bath could be shared by family, which was great. The room felt dry; although the hot carpet kept it warm, I wished there had been a humidifier.
