The Shoreline Hotel

“Uncomfortable nights sleep in a new hotel which needs refinements.”

The spot was decent for us, but the nights were terrible—pillows were too full and large, there was no night light in the bathroom so we had to leave the light on with the door closed, the coffee maker didn’t work, and we couldn’t turn off the A/C fan which was loud enough to keep us awake; plus there was no chair or sofa to sit on and no towel bars in the bathroom for damp towels, all of which made the stay uncomfortable.

“Very disappointing for a boutique hotel.”

The location was nice, and I enjoyed breakfast on the patio. The staff were friendly. The room had a bit of personality—very stark and cold. The closet bottom was unsafe and didn’t work. I felt the room looked like a no‑tell motel overlooking the parking lot. When I arrived, someone was sitting on a bench just two feet from my window. I kept the drapes closed the whole time.

The place is in a perfect spot on the lake. The only drawback is that there’s no hotel breakfast.

“Beautiful hotel with a beautiful view and great staff!”

The property is gorgeous and impeccably clean. The staff are exceptional, going out of their way to provide everything you need. The town offers plenty of dining options, and waking up to Lake Minnetonka right outside your door is beautiful. There’s nothing to dislike about The Shoreline.

“Pleasant”

The room was stunning and spacious, with a lovely carpet and overall design; the furniture was pretty and comfortable. The bed and shower were great, and the building looked nice. The restaurant staff were very friendly. However, the room had a few issues: the curtain rod fell completely when I opened the drapes in the morning; the sliding barn door to the bathroom was poorly designed and kept coming out of the track, making it hard to open and close. The toilet bowl ran for about 30 minutes after each use, and the mini fridge was very loud at night. The balcony area was not private at all—the rolling gate was down between my room and the next occupied room, so I had to keep the drapes closed for privacy. The gates looked unattractive and offered no real security or privacy. I was surprised by these small details; normally I wouldn’t mention them, but being a new, high‑end hotel, I expected better.
