The rooms were tastefully decorated and the beds were comfortable. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We swapped our double for two twins without any hassle or extra cost. The old English pub was nice.

The location is excellent, the staff are friendly, and the separate block keeps the rooms away from the pub; the bed is comfortable, there’s plenty of tea and coffee, and the shower is decent, all at a cheaper price than other local options, and the beer garden is nice, but the place feels a bit worn out with loose fittings, the bathroom door is hard to close, and the linens smell like chip fat.

The location and dinner are both very good, but the room is disappointing: after checking in, we discovered there was no fan, asked the bar reception for one, and the lady said the hotel had none; given the hot weather, a fan would have been expected.

Lovely 3‑night stay at The Bull Inn We stayed in Room 4 and it was perfect for the two of us — a great size, comfy double bed, free WiFi and convenient on‑site parking. The staff were all amazing, so friendly and welcoming throughout our stay. The bar had a fantastic atmosphere too, really added to the experience. This was our 4th time staying here, and we’ll definitely be back again next year. Would happily stay again. Not wanting to nit‑pick, but it would be helpful if an ironing facility was available, especially for longer stays like ours. The bathroom is a little dated and the sink could do with an update, but everything was clean and the shower was excellent. Overall, another really lovely stay — we’ll be returning
