“Zeer teleurstellende en zelfs beangstigende ervaring – absoluut geen aanrader”
The breakfast was okay – basic but most items were present and refilled on time, no major complaints. However, our stay at ibis Styles Paris Nation Cours de Vincennes was horrendous. On the first evening we encountered a homeless woman, apparently under the influence of drugs, sleeping naked near the elevator; we felt unsafe. The concierge called the police but gave little explanation or apology. On the second night the fire alarm went off, guests evacuated while the night concierge desperately tried to silence it, and the sirens blared for minutes with no explanation. The next morning we heard someone smoking at the reception, again with no apology. When we expressed our dissatisfaction at check‑out, the receptionist was outright arrogant, showing no concern and telling us we could write whatever we wanted. I later contacted the manager; he offered an apology at first but never responded to my follow‑up emails. Communication was poor, the environment felt unsafe, and there was a total lack of respect for guests. A hotel can’t prevent every unexpected situation, but the way it’s handled matters, and this place completely failed. Is this really the customer focus you expect from the Ibis/Accor group? We’ll never return. Absolutely not recommended.
