Lovely 6 Berth Caravan At Dovercourt Holiday Park

“There's better places than this.”

The caravan was a good size but in need of some love and attention. Having two toilets was a bonus. Not being able to find the caravan in such a massive site. Very unhelpful staff at reception. Endless noise from the bar and young children playing on the equipment until the early hours. Poor signage throughout the site. Dogs wandering unleashed. Lack of bedlinen, toilet rolls, soap, tea towels and plug for the sink are all things that everyone needs and all good places gave in place. Not being able to park by the caravan was another thing we should have been told beforehand. We also found the questions about full names, dob etc after booking was weird. Why is your date of birth and middle name necessary? 9

“Great short break away, excellent location on the site and nice pleasant stay”

I loved the location and the price was good, but the bedding could have been better; I understand the policy of bringing your own, though I did miss a chopping board. I left a big soap in the bathroom for anyone who might forget.

The caravan was a decent size and spotless, but the saucepans were cheap and eggs kept sticking in the frying pan. The seating around the table was uncomfortable because of wear.

“Niet ons ding”

We were thrilled to find that this park is just a short walk from the beach and the harbor in Harwich. However, our stay was marred by the excessive noise levels, which persisted until late at night on weekdays. The constant sound of laughter, revving engines, and even people banging on our caravan for fun made it impossible for us to enjoy the outdoors. Needless to say, we didn't get much rest.
