It was good for a single night. The single bed was too narrow.

The spot is perfect for visiting Brindisi. It’s close to the bus for the airport and the train station is also reachable on foot. Bonus: the welcome, the friendliness, and Dominique’s good advice on where to eat. The furniture is a bit dated.

The room needed a refresh. There was plenty of snagging work required on damaged door frames, skirting boards, and walls. The door handle and shower rail were hanging off. Shower drainage was poor, ending in a pool of dirty water—probably a hair‑plug that never got cleaned. Daily cleaning was not evident. The bin was too small for used items like a wine bottle, and staff never collected empties, so we had plenty left at the end of the week. Glasses and mugs were never cleaned. The fridge still had some half‑open items, presumably from previous guests. Breakfast was limited and the bread wasn’t fresh daily; it started to be a bit too dry by day three. The breakfast space was tight, barely enough room to move between tables. The location isn’t great for getting around between Bari and Lecce via public transport—this last point is more my own research failings. Brindisi itself is more of an industrial/military port than a tourist spot. I’d recommend staying in Bari, Lecce, or one of the more coastal/beach locations like Monopoli or Polignano a Mare. It’s definitely easier to reach places like Alberobello from Bari.

Dominique was lovely and helpful. Breakfast was a little bland. Our room needed some work; the toilet seat was terrible. There were very few toiletries—just one shampoo, I think. I ordered a king‑size bed but received a double. Overall, okay.
