La Maison de La Riviere is a charming period property in a peaceful setting; the room was large, clean and comfortable, the continental breakfast varied and plentiful, and Roy was welcoming, attentive, and shared his extensive knowledge of the area and its history. The bathroom was a bit small for the generous room size, but it was clean and perfectly adequate for a one‑night stay.

The host was fantastic and spoke English very well, the atmosphere felt like a family and everyone was very kind; parking in front of the house was possible and the internet was super fast. We received a real French breakfast with fresh baguette and croissants from the local bakery. The river runs right in front of the house, which is nice to listen to. It was ideal, and I would return anytime. Such a rare, conscientious place to stay.
