I expected the stay at the Wine House to be just as good as the photos we saw, but it actually exceeded our expectations. The host Aneta was extremely kind, responsive, and cool; she had arranged all the beauties in the house, and when I asked if she offered woodcarving lessons, she offered to show us! So besides enjoying Veliko Tarnovo, we also learned more about one of the city’s emblematic crafts, which was even better! I recommend asking her! She made an effort to show us as much as possible, prepared materials, and made it as comfortable as possible, and we liked it so much that I plan to continue with woodwork courses. Regarding the place – we were given a whole cottage with a kitchen, a terrace with a wonderful view, and a bathtub, an authentic 200‑year‑old Veliko Tarnovo house right in the heart of Veliko Tarnovo, a street above the Samovodska Charshiya! I fell in love with Veliko Tarnovo, I still think about the Wine House, and I miss it, and I know I wouldn’t have liked it so much if we hadn’t stayed here, so I recommend it wholeheartedly! Next time we come to the city, we’ll be back here again!
