Volcano Lake View in Kintamani is an adults‑only guest house perched on a sun terrace overlooking Lake Batur. The property features a lush garden, a modern restaurant offering halal Chinese, Indian, Indonesian, Malaysian, local, Asian, and European cuisine, a bar, and a terrace for cocktails. Private check‑in/out, 24‑hour front desk, bike and car hire, and a tour desk enhance convenience.

The view was decent, but the stay was a complete disappointment from start to finish. I booked Vulcano Lake View but was moved to a different property, the so‑called Panorama Cliff, without any notice. If it was meant as an “upgrade,” it didn’t feel like one. The location is isolated to the point of impractical, with no nearby places for basic supplies. The only “recommendation” was a warung run by a staff relative, and conversations were limited to whether I needed tours or a driver for my return trip—nothing like guest care. The access path is dangerous: steep, unstable, made of dirt, broken concrete, and loose stones, making it unsafe and exhausting for anyone arriving with luggage. Inside, the room was dirty. The promised breakfast never appeared, and staff were rarely present. Warm water was also nonexistent. Overall, this was nowhere near what I booked, expected, or paid for. Misleading, poorly maintained, and lacking even the basics. I sincerely hope the management addresses these issues because, in its current state, I cannot recommend this place to anyone.

A great spot for a Mount Batur stay; we enjoyed the volcano lake view and they organized a fantastic Mount Batur tour.

The place is amazing and the hospitality is great; Mowgli treated us like family, teaching us many Balinese stories and culture. Thanks for the great service and the Mount Batur trip.
