You have to embrace the concept: staying in a “box” without staff or a point of contact means you can’t expect more. I actually like the idea, but it’s only suitable for people who want to handle everything, including opening the room, via their smartphone. Booking should warn guests more clearly about how the process works.

You get exactly what you book: bed, chair, shower, and toilet on about 2 square metres, no frills, open‑access, no fixed check‑in time, and convenient highway access; not suitable for a weeklong holiday but fine for a night, and I booked elsewhere instead. The ventilation stays on for 20‑30 minutes after showering and can’t be turned off, which matters if you want to sleep immediately; also the trucks and airport noise aren’t always quiet, so if you’re very noise‑sensitive, avoid this hotel.

The room was very pleasant, clean, and scored a 10 out of 10, with everything needed, a comfortable bed, crisp sheets, and power outlets by the bed; I really liked it, but at night rats ran near the room, which was unpleasant, communication with staff was poor if you don’t speak English or German, and the pillows were inconvenient.

“es ist schön eigentlich”

The place was clean and the air conditioning worked, but ants found their way in through the door and it didn’t close fully—there’s a gap in the lower aluminium part.

It would help if the hand and shower towels had hooks so you could hang them to dry, and a towel rack in the shower would be useful too.
