“Amazing place that would definitely come back!”

The place is amazing with a direct view of Paro Taktsang; the property and house are very nice and special; the rooms are spacious and stylish. The staff deserve special mention: Sonam, Indra and Kishor were great during my stay, very careful and always eager to help and make my stay more comfortable and feel at home. It’s literally walking distance to the start of the hike to Paro Taktsang. The shower and warm water could have been a bit more consistent; one night there was no warm water. The rooms can get a bit cold at night (though I think I just couldn’t regulate the heater properly). I also think they could provide more information about what the hotel offers in booklets or informative pieces inside the room. It’s great that everything is WhatsApp‑based, but sometimes, if I’m at the foot of Paro Taktsang, I’d prefer something less digital.

The location was ideal for trekking and the room was excellent. The manager Sonam handled everything well and responded promptly.

“This was perfect for spiritual solo trip and social disconnect. I loved the intricate design.”

The staff were great, especially the manager Sonam and Jordan the communications guy, who really went above and beyond to keep us comfortable. The Wi‑Fi was fine for WhatsApp, but it didn’t support the type of writing I wanted to do. I loved the no‑TV fridge concept because I was there to unwind, though it might not suit families with kids. The property is very remote and offers little for youngsters after dark. The wooden bath’s drainage next to the toilet in the room needs improvement: the slope caused water to back up and drip, leaving the floor wet.

It feels like a slice of paradise with cloud‑tipped mountains and Tiger’s Nest Monastery visible from the bedroom windows. The host was charming and set up our lunch table in the garden with a vase of amazing roses, making the meal feel magical and the food simply delicious. Dinner options are a bit limited but still tasty, especially the vegetarian choices. The distance from Paro’s main street is a plus if you’re looking to relax and escape the bustle.

“Not worth it”

The architecture is lovely and the rooms look nice. We booked two nights: the first was cancelled the same day because of “water” problems, and they re‑booked us elsewhere. The second night we never received the room we had paid for because they claimed we hadn’t made a down payment, even though no one asked us to. They said the card machine was down at the time of payment, but no one had warned us beforehand. The staff are very young and lack experience, organization, and seniority, so overall it’s not worth it.
