It was clean. The rooms are very basic; it’s an older small motel with a small room and poor lighting. It was clean but very utilitarian. No breakfast, only machine coffee.

I stayed right on the beach, literally, and that was a big plus. The bathtub didn’t drain, so it got slick toward the end of the shower, which was a bit annoying.

The hotel felt like a quaint, older place that reminded me of my childhood, and it was right on the beach in Algoma, which made the view worth it. Sunrises were breathtaking. There were fire pits and you could buy wood, and many guests used them. We left the window slightly open to hear the lake waves. The room was very clean, though a few items needed fixing, and the bed was very comfortable. The shower was good with plenty of hot water. The bakery in town was excellent. The city beach had a breakwall you could walk on. On the downside, the room was pretty barebones; it should have had a hair dryer and cups, and nothing to take pills with. Towels were thin. They advertised sweet rolls and juice, but nothing was actually provided. A coffee machine was available in the office 24/7.

The place was spotless and close to town, and staying on the beach was fantastic. There were no negatives; it was flawless.
