The front desk guy was genuinely friendly, the location was great, and the breakfast was excellent. The carpet in the room had a strong dust smell, and I had to remove a piece of plastic that was blocking the bathtub drain; oddly, the housekeeping staff didn’t notice it.

The spot is really convenient—metro right across the street, Old Ebitt and Ocean Prime within walking distance, and the staff were very courteous. We were lucky not to need parking, but the rooms aren’t cheap and parking plus an extra $60 a night is steep; the rooms are also quite small—clean but compact.

The only bright spot was that the hotel is just two blocks from the Whitehouse tour meetup location. The room felt damp; we arrived after midnight and had to get buzzed in. A group of raunchy females followed us into the bathroom, which was pretty shady. Parking is super expensive—download SpotHero to book cheap parking literally next door.

The location was good, close to the Metro and Starbucks. The lobby has a mini store, which was nice, plus an onsite restaurant and bar.
