The lake view and beach proximity were great, but the extra £30 for the dog was added after we booked, the beds and sofas were uncomfortable, there was no furniture on the deck (which was dirty), and crumbs and food bits were on the floor.

The place was very worn and dirty; I had to clean it before doing anything. There was no vacuum, brush or mop available. When I pulled out the sofa bed, crumbs and food bits were everywhere, and rusty metal fragments were sticking up on either side of the bed.

The location was fine, but the furniture was minimal. The sofa was a small double bed, the deck was dirty, and there were no chairs on the deck, so I couldn’t sit outside.

The location was good, but the caravan was dirty inside and out. Windows, carpet and sofa were grimy. The bathroom had rust on the shower tray and toilet roll holder, a broken toilet seat, damp patches on the walls in the bathroom and hallway. The kettle didn’t work because limescale floated in the water. There were no functioning bedside lamps, so I had to keep the hallway light on. Crumbs and a couple of chips were under the sofa cushions, and the sofa sank in the middle when I sat on it. An outside light on the deck was broken and left on, and a half‑eaten birthday cake was left behind.

The campsite's location and facilities were top, but we were pretty disappointed with the state of the bathroom - it was a mess and the bins were full. And there was no bedding for the sofa bed, which was a bit of a shock. We brought our own linen, but we thought there would be at least a duvet and some pillows provided.
