Hotel Luna has become my go‑to spot in San Marcos because of its convenient spot near the quiet Reserve and the village center, the comfy room, the spacious, well‑equipped kitchen, and the rooftop patio. The owner Erminda and her lovely family are friendly, accommodating, and always responsive, which makes the stay memorable. Hotel Luna sits beside the road to San Pablo, a village with authentic local life, and it’s a 20‑minute scenic walk to reach it.

“Comfortable beds”

Everything was clean and new. The bed was comfortable, there’s a balcony, and you can use the rooftop kitchen. You can pay to use a washer. The owners come in and out, so you’ll need to call the posted number and wait a few minutes at the front to check in since the building entry stays locked. The Wi‑Fi was sketchy, so I had to go to a café every day for work. Water ran out, but that’s a city issue, not the property’s fault. Some people didn’t like the tuktuk traffic on the street, so it’s best for those who’re okay with city sounds.

The place was great, clean, the shared kitchen was well equipped, filtered water, terrace, spacious room, comfortable bed, private bathroom, staff very friendly. The internet was very slow.

Hotel Luna sits on the quiet south side of the village, right across from the scenic Natural Reserve, about a 5‑minute walk from the public boat dock and the village center. The room offers a fantastic view of the lake and mountains, especially at morning and evening, and the large rooftop patio next to a well‑equipped shared kitchen is stunning. The room is spotless, the bed is comfy, and the shower is powerful. Host Ms. Erminda and her daughter are kind, attentive, and respond within hours to any questions, helping guests settle in quickly. The paved winding mountain road in front of the hotel, leading to San Pablo, attracts joggers in the mornings and evenings. Guests here are quiet and low‑key travelers. I highly recommend this place and plan to return every year.

The hotel had a kitchen and the view was pleasant. There was no TV in the room, no parking, and privacy was lacking.
