The family welcomed us with open arms and pulled us into their daily routine—goat milking, a 4x4 drive up into the mountains to a stunning overlook with a tiny church out in the middle of nowhere, and a lovingly cooked feast that was absolutely delicious. We felt right at home, and the kids speak English fluently, so the conversations were really engaging. This was definitely one of the highlights of our trip.
