The location was fine, just on the edge of the action. The room was tiny and the bathroom was… not great.

The location was good and it was easy to book tours from there. When we checked in, the staff started making us dizzy, and it took half an hour before they handed us our room. We booked a family room that could hold 5, but for just 2 people they said we had a mixed room, which wasn’t true because we paid for a family room for 2, just for fun. The address on Booking didn’t match the real one; we walked to the place shown on Booking and ended up at a mountain house, while the hostel was actually down the street at the beach next to El Nido Corner. The hostel sent us a message the day before we were supposed to leave with the exact location, but it was no longer valid. The facilities, beds, and especially the bathroom were disappointing; the cistern didn’t work properly and there was no mirror in the bathroom. If you’re looking to rest, I wouldn’t recommend it—there are roosters next door that will keep singing from 5 am every 10–20 seconds until who knows when.

I tried reaching the WhatsApp number long before I arrived and it showed that they saw my message but never replied. I wasn’t stressed because I already had the booking. They don’t allow check‑in after 11 pm, and when I realized my van from the airport would be late, I tried the WhatsApp again and still got no response. I ended up stranded at 11:30 pm. When they finally got back to me the next day, they asked how I got that number and claimed it wasn’t theirs. Then I showed a screenshot of the booking and they said, “oh yeah, that is ours.” Lmfao, what? No apology, no explanation, no refund. These guys are shady and I wouldn’t recommend them. Sure they’re cheap, but there’s clearly a reason for that. Even if I just wanted to show up without a guarantee I could check in, they said there’s no way to get there with any map apps, so they recommended I get dropped off at the beach and walk 100 m by myself at midnight with my bags. Again…what? And still no apology, no explanation and no refund!! Zero accountability.
