I was drawn by the location, but the booking link mixed photos from different rooms, giving the impression of a two‑story penthouse for almost $200/night, which seemed reasonable in this Johannesburg area where I’ve stayed before. However, the apartment was not a duplex, looked visibly worn, and would probably be a 3‑star hotel if it were. The photos were misleading, the bed sheets had been re‑stitched after tearing, the dryer was broken, the living room carpet was filthy, and the towels were old and scratchy.
