The room was spacious. Around the hotel there were many food stalls and cafés, very convenient. It’s about a 2‑minute walk to Hoàn Kiếm Lake.

My room faced a wall, not a street. It was large but terribly poorly maintained. Mold was present in the shower cracks and silicone, the shower and sink taps were so laced with limescale that I feared no disinfectant had ever been used—just water. The toilet hinges were filthy, mold on the shower ceiling, dust in the ceiling corners. The staff were initially friendly and offered to show me two other rooms, possibly for a free upgrade, but those rooms were even worse in terms of hygiene, being freshly vacated and with no maintenance at all. When I declined the change, they suggested I cancel without penalty but offered no alternative accommodation. That meant after two intercontinental flights (two nights and a full day out) I would have to lug my backpack again to find a new place in the middle of Hanoi’s chaos. I refused and stayed in the room, but be warned: the photos likely reflect the hotel when it first opened and are not representative of reality. Also, if you pay by credit card, they add a 10 % surcharge over the price. I asked for an early check‑in and was ignored. It’s not about money, but about acknowledging the mistake and offering a real remedy instead of telling me I could leave without any charge. When I said I’d pay by card, they tried every way to make me pay in cash. I have more to say, but I’ll discuss it with the booking support directly.

The staff were excellent and helpful, and the location in the old town was superb.

The terrace was a nice addition. However, the toilet bowl still had cigarette butts left by a previous guest, indicating the cleaning had not been thorough.

“Bra personal men väldigt slitna lokaler”

The staff were friendly. The room was very worn, the bathroom drain smelled terrible, and I had to cover the drain with a trash can to stop the odor. The bed was fairly hard.
