The woman was really lovely, but the place was just very simple and I didn’t feel that well; it was okay for one night though.

I stayed in the female dorm, it was comfortable. Both the room and the bathroom were very clean. The hosts, an adorable elderly couple, go above and beyond to help. Their English is basic but they make sure you are comfortable and get everything you need. My backpack was lost by the airline, and they called their daughter who handled all the communication and ensured it was delivered – thank you so much! At least during low season, it’s not really a hostel, it’s more of a homestay (which I don’t find bad at all, just making it clear for future travellers).

It’s more like a homestay. It’s a house where they removed furniture and added many bunk beds. The owners, a very old couple, are very nice and helpful (but their English is very basic). There’s a nice garden to relax or practice yoga. There is only one bathroom (and around 14 beds) but fortunately I was alone so it wasn’t a problem. The location is great, very close to the beach and also from Ahangama as well as Midigama (20 min walking or a 5 min bus drive). They only have fans (no AC) so if you suffer with the heat I don’t recommend. I was expecting a hostel. but it was everything ok :)))
