“Disappointing Five-Night Stay — King Suite Fell Short of Expectations”
The comfortable bed was the one notable positive aspect of our suite. Unfortunately, it was not enough to compensate for the inadequate furnishings, unsecured safe, disappointing breakfast, and inattentive service. Room Security: One of our biggest concerns was the in-room safe, which was not bolted or otherwise secured to the furniture. This essentially rendered it useless, as someone could simply pick up the entire safe and walk away with it. For a hotel catering to travelers, this is an unacceptable oversight. Suite Furnishings and Comfort: Although the king-size bed was comfortable, the remainder of the suite left much to be desired. The living room was sparsely furnished, consisting of only an uncomfortable couch and a coffee table. There were no additional chairs, making the living area neither particularly functional nor inviting. Additionally, the balcony had no chairs whatsoever, eliminating much of the enjoyment one would expect from having a private outdoor space. For accommodations marketed as a suite, the furnishings were surprisingly inadequate. Breakfast — Poor Value: We paid extra to include breakfast with our reservation, which turned out to be a poor decision. Rather than a substantial breakfast offering, we were limited to selecting a single plate from the menu. The portions were minimal, and anything additional came at an extra charge. Considering what we paid, the breakfast was simply not worth the money. We would strongly discourage other guests from purchasing the breakfast package without first understanding exactly what is included. Staff and Service: While the hotel staff were generally friendly, their attentiveness and professionalism were inconsistent. This was particularly noticeable during breakfast, when employees appeared more interested in socializing with one another than attending to guests. Friendliness is appreciated, but it should not come at the expense of customer service. After spending five nights at Quest Hotel Tagaytay, we came away feeling that the property did not deliver the comfort, amenities, or level of service we reasonably expected from a king suite. Based on our experience, we would be reluctant to stay here again
