“A cosy and atmospheric stay in a great central location.”

I really enjoyed my stay! The spot is super convenient, right in the city centre and close to the train station. My room was cosy and atmospheric, with a beautiful view of the church. The owners were very kind and always available if I needed anything. I also liked the useful magazines with local information. With only a few rooms, the place was quiet and peaceful. Everything was clean, and the bathroom and toilet had a beautiful, fresh renovation. I stayed during a hot period and had a fan in the room. I was also lucky that the owner contacted me early in the morning to let me know that my room was ready, so I could check in earlier. I was lucky enough to have the double room all to myself as well. The church bells ring quite often, which might bother some people. I live near a church myself, so I’m used to it, and I actually think they add to the atmosphere. I have very good memories of my trip and would happily stay here again!

Excellent location. The room was nice and tidy, even beautiful. The host was friendly and the place is worth repeating. It’s wonderfully quiet. That it still exists is impressive. A real recommendation. The front door creaked a bit and another guest made noise at 05.15 am; that’s the guest’s fault, not the host’s.

“Hotel with architectural history, right in the centre.”

Location, building, room. The place used to be an architecture office, which you can still see in some areas. In summer the building is cool (which was nice given the extreme temperatures that were experienced) and gives an old feel and look to the overall experience. Henri the owner showed us around and was very helpful in giving tips and advice. I really enjoyed it, and since this facility is right in the centre of Middelburg, you can truly enjoy this beautiful city. It doesn't have its own bathroom and toilet, something I hadn't experienced for quite some time, but it was very doable and given the price and location, not a big deal. I didn't have breakfast with my reservation, but there are plenty of very nice alternatives around. Unless you want a lazy breakfast in bed, I would recommend trying out these options.

“Fijn verblijf in het hartje van Middelburg.”

Cozy, authentic stay in the centre of Middelburg. It’s nice that there was a coffee maker and kettle. The room was otherwise beautiful and well kept. A microwave and a shared fridge would be a personal plus, especially if you stay for several days; I missed those a bit.
