The location is quiet and the activity around the pond is low-key. Unfortunately, the restaurant closed; once a new tenant takes over, it will become a hidden gem for campers.

The shower was warm and we enjoyed a lake view with plenty of outdoor activities for kids. The showers and toilets were dirty, and a terrible, gross smell came from the men's side of the building. We didn’t know it was self‑check‑in until after booking; the reception only opens 9‑11 am, which made checking in hard because we had to find our room in the dark and couldn’t contact anyone. All communication is in German, even though they respond in English. Finally, this might be a one‑off for us, but after we told them we were two people, we received a cancellation notice and then a new invoice that inexplicably added two children; we spotted this early and called to fix it.

The campsite was great, with a swimming area, paddling pool, and kids' playground. Everything was fine, though.

The location was beautiful, with fresh air and a great playground - we went for walks whenever the sun came out. Unfortunately, we had terrible weather and it rained all weekend, plus there were no directions on where to go, parking was tough, and the grass was so wet it was hard on our wheels.
