“Amazing place and well worth it”
The owner deserves all the credit. The place is well cared for. Antonio and his partner, the property managers, were excellent at looking after us. Any small issue was fixed promptly. The property is beautiful, with a massive swimming pool that offers great views. Plenty of floats meant we didn’t need to bring our own for kids or adults. The building is over 100 years old, full of character and beauty. Lots of walking paths. No AC, but most rooms have a fan—more would be nice. One bedroom is in an outer building within the main estate; that wasn’t a problem for us. The photos here don’t do it justice; it’s a lot nicer and picturesque. Getting taxis is tough; I usually wait 20 minutes. A car costs about £15, a 6‑seater about £25—still cheaper than hiring two cars. Uber is better than Bolt; taxi drivers prefer Uber because they get paid more. It costs more but is more reliable. The supermarket is a 10‑minute drive. You have to speak or message the taxi drivers, as they tend to wait at the entrance. The house is up the hill, about a 15‑20 minute walk from the entrance. We never had to walk down; we managed the rural path up. Don’t let this stop you from booking; we handled it and it was worth it. We had a family of ten, with two very small children and elderly grandparents, and we had an amazing time.
