The apartment had just been refurbished with stylish décor, and the beds were comfortable. The location was lovely, tucked away in a quiet village by the sea, far from the crowds. The lady who wasn’t the owner was not friendly; she didn’t make us feel welcome, perhaps because we had two children and a baby, and she was impolite and uncomfortable. Water also ran on the floor in front of our apartment from the units above.

The view was the only good thing. The place was isolated, rooms hadn’t been cleaned for five days, and when we asked for a towel change we had to request it ourselves.

The peace was great, and the manager was a maritime lady. Everything else was fine.

A small, newly renovated hotel by the sea in Crete. The service was very personal, and the beach Almy was only about 500 m away, with a good restaurant, while a small harbor 100‑150 m away offers swimming and a bar. Breakfast was relaxed and good value. The village itself has only about ten houses; Sises is nearby with two great restaurants, but you need a car. It’s perfect if you want privacy and a calm vibe, though Almy Beach offers nothing but hiking and swimming.
