I was greeted very warmly, got a great restaurant recommendation, and I’ll gladly return to Locanda if I need to stay in Basel again. The hotel is in a quiet area, yet the city center with various shops and restaurants is only a 5‑minute walk away.

The spot was spot on for Basel Messe/Convention Center, and the room was simple, spotless, and quiet. Breakfast was good and efficient, and the staff were friendly. Everything you need is there, and nothing extra. The price was excellent for the value. The hotel has no particular charm, so I probably wouldn't return as a tourist (unless on a tight budget) but it was just perfect for a conference at the Convention Center. The only downside was the lack of blackout curtains; the window faced an inner courtyard, so I had to change in the bathroom and woke up earlier than I wanted because of the light.

“Preiswerte Unterkunft in der Nähe der Messe”

I was greeted and received very warmly. Everything was explained at check‑in, including the Wi‑Fi password. A week before arrival, I was even called to confirm my check‑in time.
