The location is great, especially for the old town, and every small detail was attended to; the roof terrace is a bonus. The room and shower area were very small but acceptable for a two‑night stay, and there was a bit of noise from people coming in and out if you get a ground‑floor room.

My time at Madame Hortense Boutique Hotel was outstanding; the rooms keep a very vintage style, are beautifully decorated, and every detail adds a special charm. The spot is unbeatable, right in the historic centre of Chania and close to everything. The service was superb, always very friendly, attentive and ready to help. I especially want to point out that when I told them I had to leave early for an excursion and couldn’t have breakfast, they arranged a take‑away meal for me. That was a lovely gesture showing how much they care about their guests. Nothing else to mention.

The location is great, but the bathroom ventilation is loud and smells bad, and when the air‑conditioner kicks on the room also has an unpleasant odor.

The room and bathroom were cramped, and the bathroom was right next to the reception. When you opened the door you were in a small reception area.
