I have never stayed anywhere worse. Traveling worldwide, Vegabond Button Willow tops the list of awful places. They’re definitely world champions of disappointment! On the bright side, if Hollywood or Netflix ever make a new Breaking Bad series, this spot would be the perfect Meth lab location—dirty, isolated, and just perfect for Walter White’s home base. 👌

The breakfast station was great, staff were extremely helpful, and the pool was a highlight. Nothing else to note.

“Maybe the worst place I’ve ever stayed.”

The staff were friendly and the property was conveniently close to the freeway, but the rest of the place was awful. Everything was broken or dirty: the laundry room was out of order, my door lock was broken, drapes hung off hooks, and the bathtub had no drain cover—just a hole leading to a pipe. The shower didn’t work, which was a key reason I chose a motel over staying in my van. The air conditioner barely worked, never dropping the room below the mid‑70s. I was relieved there were two beds because one was so saggy it would have been impossible to sleep in. There was no smart TV—just a plain one, and the remote was disgustingly dirty. The worst part was when I finally tried to sleep, the sheets hadn’t been washed and the pillows smelled like at least two different people. Avoid this place at all costs.
