“Poorly run and maintained business!”
It was a good value. We booked a non‑smoking room with two queen beds, but the desk clerk seemed disinterested and started checking in a couple of regulars before we finished our transaction. When we opened the door, the room had been smoked in extensively; it reeked of cigarette and cigar smoke, clearly recognizable by someone who quit smoking 20 years ago after a 45‑year habit. The floor hadn’t been swept, and housekeeping likely missed dead cockroaches. We stay at Wyndham hotels regularly, but this is the second roach‑infested property we’ve encountered. Something needs to change; as a VP of a Florida RV Resort, I can say that if our business ran this poorly, heads would roll.
