The reception was very warm and full of useful tips, and the breakfast was generous and tasty, with nothing to complain about.

The charming guesthouse sits right at the Erzgebirgsbahn stop, offers a quiet setting and a large courtyard where kids can play alone, a sledding slope with paid transport across the street, and plenty of information and local tips from the owner; however, the ground‑floor apartment’s west‑facing window was dark and gloomy due to the railway embankment and surrounding buildings, especially on bad weather days, the kitchen is outdated, and the only shared seating, a corner table, is uncomfortable.

The host gave us a cake shaped like an Easter lamb—a nice gesture—but we couldn’t book breakfast for our stay because the operator had told her staff to leave it open; we didn’t know we had to inform them beforehand.

The kind host, comfy beds, good breakfast, and a sledding slope right across the street with a lift aid were all great, though a kettle in the room would have been a nice addition.
