Breakfast was hands‑down the best I've had in a hostel. The spot’s close to the beach, a bit out of town, but lunch options are decent and reasonably priced. The place could really step up to become the top choice in São Miguel do Gostoso, but the lack of AC made the room feel like a mosquito trap, and the bathroom was a nightmare—doors that won’t lock, a clogged shower, and overall poor maintenance. I arrived at 8 p.m. and no one was there to greet me; a note or a quick text would have helped.

“Calor e muriçoca”

Loved the location and the Pitomba restaurant—food was tasty and plentiful. The room, however, was a nightmare: no proper ventilation, a single weak ceiling fan, and only one bed had a mosquito net. Mosquitoes swarmed, the heat was oppressive, and the room was so dark you could barely see your own feet.

“Disintossicante, defaticante, rigenerante”

The lodge is almost beachfront, surrounded by green grass, trees, and dark wood that blends with the surroundings. The rooms are comfortable and no AC is needed—thanks to the breezy seaside air, even at night you can leave the blinds slightly open for good airflow. Staff are polite, cleanliness is excellent, and the breakfast is simple but genuine: fresh fruit, great yogurt, tapioca, and eggs. No complaints.
