The location is great, just a short walk to the river shuttle departure point and the floating restaurants. However, the rooms and beds didn’t match the reservation that promised two triple rooms; we arrived to find only two double beds and were charged an extra nightly fee for an additional mattress on the floor in each room. They refused to adjust the price despite the clear difference between the advertised triple rooms with three proper beds and what we actually got, which was very frustrating and felt like being held hostage once we were on site, especially that very evening.

“Buen alojamiento para visitar Taman Negara”

The spot in Kuala Tahan is great, just a 5–10 minute walk to the river and floating restaurant area. The room was simple with a sink, but spacious and clean, and the shower water was lukewarm. The price is a bit high, and the room lacks a small cooler to keep bottled water cold; in this humid, hot area the water from the bottle often feels warm.

The lodge is nicely situated. We were lucky to get a room with a shaded sitting area. The room was okay, could have been cleaner, but was acceptable. Check‑in was done with an envelope, which made it very fast. The downside was that the check‑in was so quick that nobody was actually present; when someone was there they stayed behind the counter scrolling on their phone, which felt odd. The Wi‑Fi didn’t work, and the notice about it looked outdated. Our TV had a tape label saying “under maintenance”; we didn’t want to watch it, but it highlighted the Wi‑Fi issue.
