The location was nice, but the property felt a bit ramshackle. It was dog‑friendly, which was ideal since we had our dogs with us.

The establishment was very pretty, and if you like calm and nature, this is the place to choose; the setting is gorgeous and original. The room offered a view of the canal and lock, was very clean, and beautifully decorated. We enjoyed a lovely walk along the canal. The welcome was warm, the host friendly, and we were delighted with the dinner in the evening. The only drawback was that we were surprised at departure to pay an extra 22 euros (which I find excessive) for our little dog. I had already requested a special accommodation for a York in the reservation and received confirmation that no surcharge would apply. Yet the extra fee was demanded; neither the fee nor its amount was mentioned at check‑in. This was a real disappointment because we would have preferred clear conditions from the start, not at the last moment when handing over the keys. My husband handled the key handover, so I wasn’t there to show the Booking message. For travelers with a pet, ask about pet conditions upon arrival so everything is clarified immediately. The rooms were delightfully renovated beside the canal, and the rural surroundings were beautiful; the host offered many extras like a coffee/tea station available anytime for a comfortable overnight stay, making it a good base for local trips and suitable for more than one night. Luis served delicious meals and a full breakfast with a charming smile. I highly recommend staying along the canal!
