The host, Noto, was super friendly and went out of her way to meet my requests, even sending my luggage to Tokyo. The house was spotless, and I could freely use the tea and coffee supplies. I slept in two very cozy nights!

The manager kept in touch with us via WhatsApp throughout our stay and gave clear instructions. The bathroom had all the amenities and everything was very clean. The only downside was that there was just one shower for all four rooms, a washer but no dryer, and we were surprised to see someone sleeping in the common area behind a screen divider, which may or may not be normal.

I appreciated the traditional vibe of the house in a quiet neighborhood, and the futon beds with tatami flooring made for a great sleep. The place was clean everywhere, and the kitchen and bathroom had everything needed, including a washing machine and an outdoor drying line. A short walk to the Geisha district and bus stops made getting around easy, and they let us leave our bags for a few hours on checkout day. Nothing else to add.

The location was excellent, and the guest house offered a variety of drinks, from coffee sticks to teas. The room itself was tiny and the mattress was extremely hard. The stairs were wobbly, especially when carrying luggage.

The host was friendly and communicated well over WhatsApp, allowing me to check in early. The traditional room was clean and tidy, and there was a free water dispenser with tea and coffee. It’s just steps from the samurai district and other sights. Sound insulation was poor—you could hear people downstairs talking. It’s a bit far from the station and the castle area, but buses are nearby.
