Great spot for visiting Arezzo and the surrounding area. Maria was fantastic—friendly and professional, and the breakfast was amazing, especially the cakes.

Staying with Mrs. Maria feels like visiting a relative in the open countryside, earning her a rightful spot among the Booking Excellence. She welcomed us warmly and even upgraded us to a larger room than the one we had booked. The cleanliness was superb, the private bathroom spotless, and the bed very comfortable. What really sets this place apart is the breakfast, which Mrs. Maria prepares at the time you tell her, meeting any need and offering a range of local, km‑0 products she makes herself. Assorted crostini with her jams, cakes, caramelized figs, and other sweet treats. She also provides a savory breakfast on request, though I didn’t try it. If you plan to visit Arezzo, ask Mrs. Maria for tips; she’ll give you valuable advice and share stories and anecdotes you won’t find in guidebooks. The city is just a few minutes by car and is well‑located for the Val di Chiana. I’ll definitely return next time!

We liked the village, the cottage surrounded by greenery, and the breakfast. The bed was uncomfortable and the sliding door in the shared area exposed the room to noise.
