The reception staff were friendly and helpful, but the rooms were tiny, the sweet part of breakfast was very sparse, the dining staff were not welcoming at all, and the housekeeping was very superficial.

Breakfast was good, the location was fine, and the price was decent, yet the quality of the food deteriorated over the years, with a lot of wear that isn’t being refreshed.

The location is excellent, close to the metro, with restaurants nearby, the staff are friendly, and everything is clean. The building is old and somewhat thin, but it’s still clean.

The proximity to Vezneciler metro, tram, and the Marmaray (côte descendante) is a major advantage; the receptionists are kind and helpful, and the elevator is convenient. The double room size is adequate, but the TV didn’t work and I had to notify reception—apparently the manager handled it. The shower is unusable; you can’t move or bend to wash your legs, there’s no handheld showerhead, only a ceiling one, and the water pools and ends up in the bathtub. The door doesn’t close properly, and the plumbing smell is strong in the morning. The kitchen is too close. Daily housekeeping only fluffs the duvet (again). The cleaning cart hangs on the stairs on the upper floor. The Turkish breakfast is not exceptional; while varied, the dishes are bland. Hot items are just scrambled eggs and sometimes fries; there’s no menemen, no zucchini fritters, etc. One would expect better. Still, I enjoyed my stay.
