“Very disappointed and disgusted by the treatment at this hotel. We will never stay again”

The rooms were freshly renovated and clean, but the thin walls let us hear every step on the creaky stairs. The lamp was broken, the bathroom door wouldn’t close, Wi‑Fi and TV were dead, and the front desk seemed clueless about my payment—no receipt, had to use e‑transfer. They let us in after midnight for New Year’s, but when we returned at 1 am we had to wait outside in the cold for over 20 minutes with kids, no apology.

“Non-existent service; uncomfortable and overpriced”

The bed was decent, but the place was a ghost town. No one answered the phone, the manager left a note saying she’d be back in 45 minutes and never showed up. I ended up with a room that had no telephone, a broken lamp, no ice, and no breakfast. I even had to toss my keys through a window because no one was around. Street parking only, no heater plug, so my car wouldn’t start the next morning. All of this for over $137, and locals told me to stay in St. Paul instead. I won’t be back.

“Quiet stay with very comfortable beds”

The Bethel Hotel got a good makeover and is right in town. The beds and pillows were top‑notch and the place was quiet, so we slept well. The stairs were noisy and the front desk didn’t know my reservation details, so I had to pull up the app to prove it.
