“Pire expérience de notre vie en vacances”
Nothing good. The whole apartment reeks of cigarettes, even the rooms, because the friendly owner Mauro keeps smoking in his living room. If you try to bring it up—say you’re pregnant like me—he pretends not to hear and tells you he does what he wants because it’s his house. His bedroom is upstairs, so you have to walk through his living room to reach your tiny bathroom. Breakfast is served at a café one street away, and the air‑conditioning only works between 22:00 and 06:00. Looking for the remote to set the temperature? Forget it: Mauro controls it himself from his phone. Babysitting 2026 style. And if you want to cool your room outside those hours, you’ll have to pay an extra 20 € per day in cash, of course, because of inflation. Then, when we didn’t meet his expectations, he simply kicked us out after one night and we ended up on the street, scrambling to find emergency accommodation. Unprecedented! Is it still worth mentioning that this address is a total nightmare? If you’re unsure, just remember we didn’t laugh (not at all) in Cagliari.
