“Romántica con vistas”
The private pool and apartment cleanliness were great. The owner’s dog relieved itself on the pool grass, and given what we paid, I think that should have been addressed.

The accommodation was modern, clean, well equipped, and quiet. The view of the pool and the ocean was incredible. The host was very welcoming and helpful. We loved our stay in this place, and having your own car is essential to get there. The only downside is that many branches and leaves blow into the pool with the wind; that could maybe be improved.

The apartment in Punta do Sol was splendid, with a wonderful view, fully equipped, a pool right outside our windows, very friendly host reception, on‑site parking, and modern furniture. We enjoyed the stay very much. Madeira is an island with steep mountains and narrow roads, which we knew beforehand. Reaching the place requires driving on one of those steep mountain roads. If you’re a good driver and rent a small car wisely, there’s no problem; otherwise it can get a bit tricky.

The accommodation was great and quiet – especially the pool and the view were top. The dog that does its business multiple times a day in the garden is not so great, even if you like dogs! It doesn’t have to be.

I could work from the yard with complete privacy, and the bed was comfortable while the room stayed spotless, even with a washing machine handy. On the downside, the only coffee supplied was basic, and the bathroom lacked body wash, shampoo, and other essentials. The street is a tight, uphill climb that’s tough without a car, making grocery runs tricky unless you’re comfortable navigating narrow roads. I also discovered the hosts only communicate in French, never even trying Portuguese or English, which surprised me after living on the island for over twenty years—quite odd, but everyone’s different.
