“Disappointed with the room”

The location was good, but the room smelled damp and was cold; I mentioned it to reception, who brought a spray and sprayed it, but it didn't help. Checking in took half an hour due to a queue and insufficient staff.

I booked a second time; the room we had this time was excellent, and the overnight stay was worth it. Parking on site was convenient.

“Poor value for money and deeply disappointing customer service; we would not stay here again.”

We paid about £150 for a single night, yet the accommodation offered only basic comfort, with breakfast and parking charged separately. The biggest let‑down was the hotel’s handling of an accidental duplicate booking: because the first confirmation didn’t appear immediately while our driver was traveling for work, he made a second reservation for the same night. Despite repeated explanations and an initial promise to forward our £79.01 refund request for review, the hotel refused to make an exception and stopped responding to our formal complaint.
