We stayed at Humberto Guesthouse with our two boys (11 and 15) and had a wonderful time there. The beds were good, the showers warm, and the people were lovely. Humberto, his wife and children cared a lot about our son who fell ill, taking great care of us and making us feel at home. We also did the Santa Cruz trek, organized by Humberto and guided by his son Kevin and family friend Marcello. Everything was arranged perfectly. The gear was good, the food great, the transport safe, and all the staff involved were very knowledgeable and incredibly kind. They’ll make sure you’re safe and have a great experience in the mountains! Their love for the mountains is real and will make your trek even more special.

Humberto has been so good to us! He was our guide for the 6‑day Huayhuash trip and when we returned we decided to stay at his guest house. The rooms are clean, the showers hot and the water pressure is great. He made us an amazing breakfast with honey from his own bees, fresh‑baked bread and fresh‑picked strawberries. He helped us out with a climb to Vallunaraju and let us keep our things with him while we were gone. I also recommend him as a guide because he is very hard‑working and very knowledgeable about the area.
