“Very disappointed we only can afford one break a year .”

The breakfast was a bare‑bones continental spread, but the spot was spot‑on, just a 2‑minute walk to the sea front and shops. The room itself was a nightmare: only one old dining chair, a low and uncomfortable bed, a broken wardrobe door and no mirror for makeup. The toilet’s shower needed a new door, the duvet cover was ripped, and the kettle in the room couldn’t be filled because the sink in the toilet was tiny. The hot tap was broken, there was no shelf in the shower for toiletries, and the room was colorless with no pictures. The window looked out onto an old rusty metal fire escape with mold, and you could hear other guests. The carpet was worn out, and the door let light leak in from the hallway. We left a day early because it was just that uncomfortable.

“Great one night stay”

I stayed one night and landed in a ground‑floor room that was great; just turn right out the door, walk five paces, and you’re sitting down for breakfast. Nothing else to complain about.
