The bed was comfy, the donkeys and Great Pyrenees were a delight, and I appreciated the carrots that were provided, but there was no air conditioning and the cabin unit wouldn’t work.

The owners were incredibly kind and flexible—after we overstayed we were let stay on site and use the trails for birding, but the hot tub felt more like a tiny pool than a plunge, and the room warmed a bit more than I liked, though the fan helped.

We missed breakfast, but waking up to the sunrise from our unit was a highlight, and the bed was very comfortable. The owner dropped by unexpectedly and gave us a tour of the property, and a cat even visited us during our stay. The bathroom lighting was too dim, and the hot tub never reached the advertised temperature.
