We only stayed a short time, but we’ll definitely come back because the place has an unparalleled vibe. Every little detail of the guesthouse shows care, combined with good taste, creativity, and cleanliness (!!!), which made it a truly special experience. The environment is quiet and calm—exactly what we wanted for rest! Even the beds were comfortable.
Despite the confirmed reservation, the place was not welcoming. No one was on site; it was completely empty. Additionally, it’s hard to reach, with a narrow, steep, dusty, gravel road leading to the hilltop location. I struggled to find a phone number, and I learned that they’re not accepting guests due to renovation for water damage. It’s unfortunate that they didn’t cancel the booking, and no one checks if a confirmed reservation is real! The weekend was ruined.
We spent two days with my partner at Petörke Guesthouse in Bárdudvarnok, and it was simply a fantastic experience! The house is beautiful, clean, and you feel the care in every small detail. The surroundings are quiet and calm, perfect for relaxation. We especially highlight the outdoor oven, which gave a huge experience—at night we baked there and created unforgettable atmosphere. The host was very kind and attentive, responding quickly to every question. Perfect place for couples seeking a bit of tranquility and rural romance, or families and friends choosing to recharge. We’ll definitely come back!
