The stay fell short on comfort. Wi‑Fi was spotty and unreliable, and the apartment had a strong smell of dampness and sewage. I tried to get the host to let me check in late, but they didn’t answer my emails or messages until the day I arrived.

I called ahead to say I'd be an hour late, but instead of being told they couldn't accommodate me, they cancelled my reservation while I was still in the air; I arrived in Armenia with no room even though I had booked three months earlier, and the hotel never refunded me—thankfully the booking site did.

The owner was super helpful, checking me in late at night and getting me settled into my room. However, it got pretty chilly at night and there wasn't a warm blanket provided, which was a bit of a letdown.

The hotel had a nice welcome and was located a bit off the beaten path, but not too far out. The room was clean, which was a plus. However, I think there might have been a mix-up with my booking, and the air conditioning wasn't working, making the room feel really stuffy. Also, the breakfast hours were a bit weird, from 9am to 3pm, which seemed to cater to late risers, but not exactly the kind of vibe I was looking for.

The room at Red Rose Hotel was perfect - super clean and quiet, thanks to great soundproofing. The staff were friendly and approachable too. If I'm back in Yerevan, I'd definitely book this room again. That said, the air conditioning struggled to cool the big room.
